All persons freshwater fishing, saltwater fishing and/or hunting in Florida must possess a valid freshwater fishing license, saltwater license, and/or hunting license excluding those entitled to exemptions. For your convenience, regular hunting and fishing licenses may also be purchased directly over the telephone from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee. To place your order for a hunting license over the telephone, call toll-free 1-888-486-8356. To place your order for a fishing license over the telephone, call toll-free 1-888-347-4356. Replacements for lost or destroyed hunting and fishing licenses are available in the Indian River County Tax Collector's Office . A lost or destroyed license or 5 year license may be replaced for $2.00. A lost or destroyed lifetime license may be replaced for $10.00. Florida Resident Lifetime and 5 year hunting and fishing licenses are available at the Indian River County Tax Collector's Office. Florida residents may purchase an annual sportsman license, which covers freshwater fishing, hunting, management area permits, turkey stamp, state waterfowl or duck permit, archery permit and muzzleloading permit. The sportsman license does not include federal duck stamps. Persons born on or after June 1, 1975 cannot purchase a hunting license unless they show proof of successful completion of a hunter education safety course. Contact the Regional Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office in Ocala at (352) 732-1225 for Hunter Safety Class dates. Children under the age of 16 are allowed to hunt under the supervision of an adult without having completed the hunter education course. Applications for resident freshwater commercial fishing licenses are submitted to and issued by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Tallahassee, you may obtain an application from the Indian River County Tax Collector's Office.
