Vessel (Boat) & Watercraft Registration Fees (fees determined by boat length)

• The 12-month registration period begins the first day of the owner’s birth month. Company owned vessels (boats) or watercrafts use the month of June. Per Florida Statute, vessel (boat) or watercraft registrations are not prorated, therefore, the full annual registration fee applies.
• Biennial (extended) registrations can be processed on qualifying vessels (boats) during an original registration or during any transaction where the registration is being renewed.  For inquiries on qualifying vessels (boats) please contact the Indian River County Tax Collector’s office.
• Warning: Operation of a motorized vessel (boat) or watercraft without a current registration can subject the operator to a non-criminal infraction citation.

* NOTE: The cost of obtaining/renewing vessel (boat) or watercraft registrations will be determined by the length of the vessel (boat) or watercraft.

Lost or Stolen Vessel (Boat) & Watercraft Decals

• If your decal has been lost or stolen, you must contact your local law enforcement agency to report the loss or theft prior to making application for a replacement.
• The registered owner(s) of the vessel (boat) or watercraft must apply for a replacement decal.
• Please complete the Application for Vessel, Duplicate Registration, Replacement Decal and Change of Classification (HSMV 87015). This application can either be mailed in or completed in the Indian River County Tax Collector’s office. The most current vessel (boat) or watercraft registration is required. 
• The replacement cost of a lost decal is $5.75.
• When a decal is reported stolen to law enforcement and a case number has been assigned, there is no cost associated with this replacement, only if the case number and the name of the law enforcement agency are provided.

Duplicate/Replacement Vessel (Boat) & Watercraft Registrations

• If you lost your vessel (boat) & watercraft registration, the registered owner(s) on record, only, for a vessel (boat) & watercraft may obtain a duplicate vessel (boat) & watercraft registration from the Indian River County Tax Collector’s office. Proper identification is required.
• Please complete the Application for Vessel, Duplicate Registration, Replacement Decal and Change of Classification (HSMV 87015). This application can either be mailed in or completed in the Indian River County Tax Collector’s office. The Florida vessel (boat) or watercraft number, or the last vessel decal number is required. 
• The cost for duplicate/replacement vessel (boat) & watercraft registration is $5.00.
